Sam is an ACC Coach specialising in transition and a certified Forest Therapy Guide. Sam has always thrived in nature but it took her a while to notice.  Following a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry, she took the decision to follow her heart and fully re-trained as a coach and forest therapy guide.  Sam looks to nature for inspiration, motivation, joy and balance.  You will often find her in the parks, fields and woods with her coaching clients on a ‘walk and talk’.  She knows and trusts that the natural environment facilitates an even greater sense of safe, non judgemental space, where people are more open to receiving insights and are truest to themselves.  When we allow ourselves time to slow down and the opportunity to listen to ourself, our inner thoughts, emotions, and dreams can rise to the surface. This time for pause, self-awareness and reflection can help guide people through huge changes in their lives, such as divorce, health issues, or setting a new direction in their careers or business. When we slow down, we notice. When we notice, things become clearer. When we have a clear sense of direction, we can plan how to get there. It’s simple but incredibly powerful.

In addition Sam is a trained forest therapy guide. Forest therapy experiences take you from the hustle and bustle of every-day life on a journey of remembering, self-exploration and discovery of our natural connection with nature.  You will find opportunity for a deeper connection with yourself and nature, restoring a sense of calm, awareness and balance. Forest therapy is an evidence based practice providing benefits to our mental, physical and social wellbeing.  There is now a wealth of scientific evidence supporting the positive impact on health, such as reducing blood pressure, heart rate, depression and anxiety as well as boosting the immune system. The experience is essentially a very slow wander through a natural setting, never walking far, it is not a hike. You are gently guided through a series of invitations to explore your surroundings with all of your senses. The guide is there to support this experience, they open the door to nature in a way you may not have fully experienced before. These experiences are open to anyone, Sam often works with professionals living with high level of stress, overwhelm, anxiety and mild depression.

Sam’s mission is to help as many people as possible reconnect with themselves and their environment, empowering them to be their own leader of a life of wholeness and fulfilment. With the forest as a her partner she believes people will fall back in love with the land and work together in reciprocity to support one another, for the mutual benefit of all.
