Having worked within a number of social enterprises and business set ups, Kerinda is well versed when it comes to promoting, enhancing, building businesses and charities. She states “I feel like I am ready to give time to a venture like WE ARE THRIVE and can add value in my areas of expertise and with my contact base. As a mother of five children, I totally see the benefits of bringing a venture like this to the town – and surrounding villages – to fill the gaps that exist in the current provision of services”.
Mike is a trained therapist that has spent time working with referrals for young people both at three Uttlesford Secondary Schools and Mind In West Essex. He is obviously well versed in the issues we all face today and states “what is often wanted is a variety of support options, but with fragmented services, that can be frustrating for people, needing various appointments, delays in getting services and having to repeat their situations to each service. The bulk of my therapy work is with young people and where needed I involve parents/carers and I can see that a service such as WE ARE THRIVE will be such a good idea to overcome the problems listed above”.
Jo is a Family lawyer and partner at Mills & Reeve LLP and so an expert on Family law and associated issues which will be incredibly useful to us as we progress with WE ARE THRIVE. She states “I have a keen interest in the NFP sector – particularly the support available for children and families – and hope to utilise the skills and experience developed from my career in the private sector to support am organisation doing such vital work in our community”.
