Louise is a qualified BACP registered counsellor / psychotherapist experienced in working with both young people (11+ years) and adults. My clients come with a broad range of issues including Anxiety and Depression, difficulties with relationships (with family, friends and partners), work/school related problems, addictive or self-harming behaviours, domestic abuse, low self esteem, body image and eating issues.
I provide a quiet safe space where you can take all the ‘stuff’ you can’t take anywhere else. I will share the load and help you to make sense of what is going on in your life. Building trust between us will take some time but there is no judgement, only acceptance of you as a unique individual, whatever age you happen to be. The work is about exploring your experiences present and past and understanding your thoughts and feelings and behaviours. This work can be very enlightening for many people. It can also be difficult and painful but is an essential, ultimately empowering, part of the process. For some clients, gaining an understanding of their internal world is enough. Others need to address how they have come to this point in their lives, look at what they would like to change and where they might go from here.
Andy has been running his own private counselling practice since 2015 having gained and MSc in Counselling from Bristol University. He has been involved with corporate mental health consulting for a number of years and provides coaching and training for leaders, managers and facilitators in the workplace.
He will provide you with a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where together you can build a therapeutic relationship that can help unravel and explore the thoughts, feelings and difficulties you are struggling to make sense of. Andy is based in Saffron Walden.
Talking to a Therapist can alleviate that burden, by sharing in therapy your thoughts and feelings it can help you understand your emotions and feelings in a way that is supportive, non judgemental and confidential. You may have tried to resolve these feelings and thoughts on your own or talked to some degree with friends or not talked about issues for years, if at all.
